The meticulously composed sets of Mad Men have stayed loyal to the times the characters are living in as the seasons move from the early 1960s on towards the end of the decade. Everything changed in that period, and, of course, aesthetics were no exception. The regal, subdued, often masculine mid-century themes in décor and design were replaced by funk, funky, increasingly decadent perspectives as the decade wore on.

We've already seen hints of this shift in Don and Megan's swanky Manhattan apartment. In case you've forgotten, check it out in the above clip of Megan's infamous performance of "Zou Bisou Bisou." In Mad Men Season 6 we'll see how bright colors, wild patterns, unexpected mod shapes take over in the late '60s and inject every modern room with wild, swingin' energy.

Check out our shopping guide below for ideas on how to incorporate the styles of Mad Men Season 6 into your décor!

A bright orange loveseat with a sleek profile keeps up with the fun, modern tone of the late 1960s.

Andy Warhol might have had something like this red tripod table/floor lamp in The Factory!
